  • Yes. There is no cost to apply, no co-pay, and no monthly fee. The program is funded through New York's 1115 Medicaid Waiver. You qualify based on your existing Medicaid enrollment and certain health categories — there's no income requirement beyond Medicaid eligibility.

  • No. The 1115 Waiver Nutrition Benefit is an addition to your existing Medicaid coverage. Receiving meals doesn't change your eligibility, your plan, or any other benefits.

  • Approved local kitchens and food vendors contracted by the Social Care Network. Deliveries usually happen once a week. We'll confirm the schedule once you're enrolled.

  • Yes. You can pause or cancel deliveries any time by calling us. There's no contract, no penalty, no minimum.

  • Yes. The application asks about food allergies and dietary needs. The kitchens accommodate halal, kosher, vegetarian, gluten-free, diabetic, low-sodium, and culturally tailored meals where possible.

  • Typically 3–5 business days from when you submit your application to a verified eligibility decision. First delivery usually arrives within 1–2 weeks.

  • Yes. Your application is encrypted in transit and at rest. We share information only with our SCN partner for the purpose of confirming your Medicaid eligibility. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

  • You'll receive an email letting you know. If you become eligible later (for example, after a hospitalization or pregnancy), you can re-apply. We'll also point you toward other food access resources in your area.

  • No. NourishNY LLC is a small, family-run New Jersey company that partners with a Social Care Network designated under the NYS 1115 Waiver. The program itself is run by New York State Medicaid; we help members apply and connect.

  • Use the reference number from your confirmation email plus the last 5 characters of your Medicaid ID at the Check Status page.
